Product Details

Testosterone Cypionate is a long-acting androgen ester used primarily for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) in males exhibiting clinical symptoms of hypogonadism. Its extended half-life, due to its esterified formulation, allows for a sustained release profile, making it an optimal choice for stable serum testosterone levels over a prolonged period.

Indications & Mechanism of Action

AndroCyp 250 is indicated for:

Primary Hypogonadism (Congenital or Acquired): Testicular dysfunction resulting from cryptorchidism, torsion, orchitis, vanishing testes syndrome, or post-orchidectomy conditions.

Secondary (Hypogonadotropic) Hypogonadism: Impairment due to hypothalamic or pituitary dysfunction, including Kallmann syndrome, idiopathic gonadotropin deficiency, or secondary suppression due to tumors, trauma, or radiation.

Pharmacodynamics:

·         Binds to intracellular androgen receptors, modulating gene transcription.

·         Stimulates protein synthesis, erythropoiesis, bone mineral density, and anabolic processes.

·         Regulates secondary sexual characteristics in males, including muscle mass, fat distribution, libido, and spermatogenesis.

2. Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): Elderly patients require regular PSA and DRE screenings.
3. Lipid Profile Changes: Can reduce HDL cholesterol levels, necessitating periodic lipid panel assessments.
4. Androgenic Effects in Women & Children: Risk of virilization (deep voice, hirsutism, menstrual irregularities).
